Our Story
Our story started in 1988 when my mother-in-law purchased a Dutch bunny from a little girl to surprise our kids one Easter.  Of course, to my husbands dismay, our kids loved the bunny and had to take it home.

Not long after we brought the bunny home our kids joined the local 4-H rabbit club where I was the leader for 15 years.  Our daughter Jenny started with Netherland Dwarfs but then raised and showed Mini Rex until she got married and became busy raising her family. Our son Jonathan still to this day raises and shows Holland Lops. I am the one that continued to raise and show Netherland Dwarfs. I even convinced our daughter-in-law Kelly to replace her beloved French Lops with Netherland Dwarfs. We have traveled many miles to local shows as well as national shows and have made some lifelong friends along the way.

Now, 20 years later Ed and I raise Netherland Dwarfs exclusively.
The varieties we specialize in are; Silver Martens (Black and Blue), Squirrel, Chinchilla, Otter, Chestnut,  Blacks, and Brokens.

We have raised many Grand Champions over the years and we were pleasantly surprised when we won the Open Best of Breed at the 2007 ARBA Convention with our own Squirrel Buck we call Michigan.

We started out, as many other breeders, in small Amish buildings which worked very well for many years.  Then in 2002 we decided that we were tired of frozen water bowls so we built an insulated steel building with concrete floors and running water. Here we can hook up heaters in the winter and, with the help of fans,  the building stays cool in the summer.

We did have a couple of difficult years due to health issues  and therefore our breeding program suffered a great deal.  Thanks to some wonderful people we were able to restart our program with quality breeding stock.  We are very grateful to the following people,  Cheyenne and Heidi Keen, Brandon Love, Leslie and Fred Bond, and Diana Swihart.  We will never forget how much you helped us.
